At 1243 Hours Communications dispatched an Activated Fire Alarm on Farmdale Rd.  Assistant Chief Knubel, Engine 331 (FF S Post) and Ladder 342 (FF Gallup) responded.  Crews checked the home and found no sign of smoke or fire.

At 1941 Hours Communications dispatched a brush fire on the corner of Edgewood Rd and Beechwood Pl.  Engine 335 (Lt. Dodd) and Engine 331 (Lt. Meyers) responded.  Crews reported branches burning from a high tension power line in the trees.  Rockland Electric was dispatched to respond.

 At 2242 Hours Communications reported an Activated Fire Alarm at the Horizons Center.  Chief Bohny, Ladder 342 (Lt. Dodd), Engine 331 (Lt. Meyers) and Tanker 341 responded.  Crews Checked the unit and found no smoke or fire.

At 2323 Hours Communications reported an Activated Carbon Monoxide Alarm at Police Headquarters.  Chief Bohny, Res3cue (Lt. Dodd), Engine 331 (Lt. Meyers) and Tanker 341 responded.  Crews reported high levels of CO in the garage and throughout the basement.  PSE&G responded and assisted with the investigation.  Crews reported the activation was caused by batteries charging.  Crews vented the building and unplugged the charging unit. 

As crews were returning Rockland Electric requested the Volunteers respond back to Edgewood/Beechwood.  Rockland Electric advise that they had to cut down part of the tree where the wires were burning and the tree was smoldering.  Chief Bohny and Engine 335 responded.  Crews saturated the area and returned.
