At 2340 Hours, Communications dispatched the Volunteers to a reported Truck Fire on Rt. 287 South.  Squad 332 (Lt. Meyers Jr.), 330, Engine 331 (Capt. Kohan), Tanker 341 (Lt. Dodd) and Engine 335 (Capt. Steenstra) responded.  Fortunately, it was a package transportation truck with its trailer brake seized and the fire was quickly extinguished prior to FD arrival. 

As Engine 331 was arriving on scene, Communications dispatched a reported gas leak in a home on Grandview Terrace.  Engines 331 and 335 were immediately redirected as the highway scene was secured.  Units operated on scene for approximately 30 minutes before turning over the scene to PSE&G.  No readings were found in the home, but the stove was found to have a possible faulty burner.
